MMA results: Gelnarova suffers submission loss at KSW 121

At the XTB KSW 121 event in Liberec, Małgorzata Popowicz defeated Hanka Gelnarova via submission in the third round. Despite the loss, Gelnarova received significant praise for her resilience and performance. Ondřej Novotný, head of OKTAGON MMA, labeled Gelnarova’s bout as the fight of the night and criticized KSW’s matchmaking, suggesting Czech fighters are often used merely as fillers for Polish opponents.

In separate mixed martial arts action at the Fight Mode 2 event, Wiktoria Czyżewska secured a unanimous decision victory over Jessica Kusz. Czyżewska controlled the fight through superior movement, balance, and striking accuracy, landing effective combinations and body shots to dominate the co-main event.
