M’Mah Kaba appeals for medical aid in Matoto, Guinea

M’Mah Kaba, a 40-year-old woman living in the Matoto Khabitayah district of Guinea, has issued an urgent plea for financial assistance to continue medical treatment. For over three months, she has suffered from severe swelling in her abdomen and feet, which has significantly restricted her mobility.

Following the death of her husband, Kaba sought medical help, initially attempting to treat what she believed was a vaginal infection. After various unsuccessful treatments, she underwent examinations at the Carrière Hospital, where doctors investigated potential tuberculosis but ultimately ruled it out without providing a definitive diagnosis.

She was subsequently referred to a private clinic in Sangoyah, where a physician suggested an enlarged uterus as the cause of her abdominal swelling. While she managed to fund a scanner through significant personal sacrifices and the sale of valuables, she lacks the necessary funds for the prescribed treatment, which is estimated to cost 6,000,000 GNF.
