MNC Bank acknowledges digital transaction disruptions

PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP) has confirmed that its digital transaction services are currently experiencing disruptions. The company is in the process of recovery, which has led to increased queues at physical branch offices and higher call center volumes.

Management stated in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange that the technical issues have not resulted in any material impact on the company's overall financial condition. To mitigate the impact, the bank has advised customers to use its ATM network for cash withdrawals and balance inquiries, or to visit branches during operational hours.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is closely monitoring the situation. OJK Chairperson Friderica Widyasari Dewi indicated that the regulator is conducting oversight and may perform stress tests to ensure the bank can meet its obligations to customers and maintain stability. OJK officials emphasized that there are no serious issues regarding the bank's solvency and urged the public to remain calm and avoid unverified information on social media.
