Indonesia's Palang Merah Indonesia Boosts Disaster Response and Blood Donation

Governor Ahmad Luthfi of Central Java urged Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Jawa Tengah to strengthen rapid disaster‑response capabilities, describing the province as a “disaster minimarket.” At the inauguration of the new PMI board for 2026‑2031, he and PMI chairman Jusuf Kalla stressed 24‑hour readiness, first‑response services, public kitchens and post‑disaster recovery as core duties.

MNC Peduli partnered with PMI Depok to hold a quarterly blood‑donation drive at MNC Studios in Jakarta, aiming to collect up to 250 units of blood. PMI Depok sub‑director Achmad Febriyandi said the event helps meet the region’s daily demand of 150‑200 blood bags and makes donating easier for MNC Group employees.
