Måneskin clinches Sanremo 2021 victory

The 71st Sanremo Music Festival took place from 2 to 6 March 2021 at the Teatro Ariston in Rome. Hosted by Amadeus together with Fiorello, the event was held without a live audience because of COVID‑19 restrictions.

Måneskin won the competition with their song “Zitti e buoni,” receiving 40.68 % of the public vote. Francesca Michielin and Fedez placed second with 30.5 %, and Ermal Meta came third with 28.8 %. Despite being the least‑watched edition in terms of TV audience, the 2021 festival recorded the highest sales of any Sanremo edition to date.

The final night featured twenty‑six artists, all of whom performed in the concluding show, and the voting breakdown determined the winner in a three‑way final showdown.
