Authorities in Solingen and Remscheid are addressing concerns regarding suicide prevention at the Müngstener Bridge and its adjacent park. Following an open letter from a local business operator, the mayors of both cities expressed that protecting human life is a priority and are coordinating with Deutsche Bahn, the bridge's owner, to evaluate further technical and structural safety measures.

Deutsche Bahn previously implemented a technical warning system in April, which is reportedly functioning stably. The system is designed to detect individuals in specific areas and provide immediate warnings to deter dangerous actions.
