Mônica Donetto launches expanded second edition of parenting book in Rio

Psychotherapist and parental guidance specialist Mônica Donetto Guedes released a revised and expanded second edition of her book "Em Nome do Pai, da Mãe e do Filho – Compreendendo a Relação Entre Adultos e Crianças". The launch took place on 5 August at the Livraria da Travessa in BarraShopping, Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, with free admission and an autograph session.

The new edition incorporates rewritten chapters, new reflections and updated content that address contemporary parenting challenges such as motherhood and fatherhood, adolescent development, parental anxiety, setting limits with affection, the impact of screens on children, early medicalisation, and evolving family configurations. Drawing on over 25 years of clinical experience and the ideas of Donald Winnicott, the book is intended for parents, educators and child‑development professionals seeking an ethical, sensitive approach to the unique needs of each child.
