Mônica Salmaso releases tribute album to Elizeth Cardoso

Brazilian singer Mônica Salmaso has released a new album and accompanying show titled ‘Senhora das Canções’, which serves as a tribute to the work of Elizeth Cardoso. The project, developed over several years, includes a repertoire that spans from early Bossa Nova tracks by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes to popular sambas and choros.

The project was influenced by Salmaso’s ‘Ó de Casas’ initiative, created during the pandemic, which featured virtual duets. The new recording was captured in a single day at Bis studios following the successful debut of the live show at Teatro Ipanema in 2025.
