Münir Üçkan creates Turkish flag motif in Rize tea garden

Münir Üçkan, a retired sailor who traveled to approximately 45 countries during his career, has created a unique landscape feature in his tea garden in the Ardeşen district of Rize, Turkey. By carefully pruning and shaping tea plants, Üçkan has formed a massive Turkish flag motif, including the crescent and star, which is clearly visible from aerial views.

Üçkan stated that the project was a way to express his patriotism and longing for his homeland after years spent at sea. He decided to realize this long-held dream in 2023. The garden has since become a local attraction, drawing visitors from surrounding villages and districts, including wedding couples who use the site for photography.
