Münster Police reopen Suleyman D. cold case murder investigation

Authorities in Germany have reopened a cold case investigation regarding the death of Suleyman D., whose remains were discovered in a burned-out vehicle near the Dortmund-Ems Canal in Greven in 2015. While investigators initially suspected robbery and murder, two suspects were released in 2015 due to a lack of sufficient evidence.

A new murder commission, led by Chief Inspector Stefan Roling at the Münster Police Headquarters, has been established to re-examine the case in 2025. Utilizing advanced technology and new investigative findings, the team is looking for fresh leads. The prosecution in Münster continues to offer a reward of 5,000 euros for any information that may assist in solving the case.
