MNT Research launches MNT Station modular open-hardware computer

MNT Research has introduced the MNT Station, a fanless, modular computer built on an open-hardware architecture. Designed for versatility, the system can function as a desktop PC, server, NAS, router, edge device, or low-power media center.

The platform utilizes a 200-pin processor module connector, allowing users to swap different computing modules without replacing the entire system. This modularity supports a variety of Arm-based processors and FPGA modules, including the Rockchip RK3588, NXP Layerscape LS1028A, NXP i.MX series, Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, and AMD/Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA modules.

The MNT Station is compatible with the existing MNT Reform mainboard ecosystem, supporting versions 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. This design enables hardware repurposing and provides developers with the freedom to examine and modify the platform's architecture.
