MO GLOBAL launches first Portuguese store in Porto

MO GLOBAL, the Spanish optical chain operating under the Multiópticas brand, announced that it will open its first store in Portugal before the end of the year. The outlet will be located in the Boavista district of Porto and will offer a full range of optical and audiology services, as well as its own design‑driven collections of more than 1,000 glasses models.

The expansion follows a €45 million capital increase completed in late 2025, aimed at accelerating the company’s growth beyond Spain. Portugal becomes the third international market after Mexico and Peru. CEO Carlos Crespo said the move is a “strategic and natural step” to bring the firm’s innovative, affordable vision‑care concept to a neighbouring country. After the Porto opening, MO GLOBAL plans further locations across Portugal through both company‑owned stores and franchise agreements.
