Mob Entertainment reveals Escape from Playtime game
Mob Entertainment has revealed Escape from Playtime, a new cooperative online survival horror game set within the Poppy Playtime universe. Showcased at the Future Games Show, the title allows up to four players to explore the decaying Playtime Co. factory.
Players take on the perspective of the Smiling Critters, navigating through dynamic environments such as warehouses, testing labs, and classrooms. The objective involves following instructions from a mysterious voice to collect resources and parts to build a new home for toys. To survive, players must evade rejected creations that stalk the hallways by using tools, finding hiding spots, and utilizing proximity voice chat.
The game will feature a Mini Mode for crawling and climbing, and the factory layout will change randomly during each run to ensure variety. Escape from Playtime is scheduled to launch in Early Access, initially featuring eight characters, one starting zone, and a core set of enemies, with more content planned based on player feedback.
