Mobile connectivity guides for Ethernet and Wi-Fi optimization

Mobile devices can achieve more stable internet connections by using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. For most modern Android phones and newer iPhones with USB-C ports, this can be accomplished using a USB-C to LAN adapter or a USB-C hub with an Ethernet port. Older iPhones utilizing a Lightning port require an Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, which should be connected to power during use.

To address weak Wi-Fi signals, users should first distinguish between poor internet speeds and weak wireless signal strength (RSSI). Troubleshooting steps include repositioning the router to a central, elevated location away from obstructions, switching between 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz bands, and deploying mesh networks or extenders to eliminate dead zones.
