Mobile CT Scan Units Aid Patients in Mogi Guaçu and Rio Claro

A mobile health unit from the "Agora Tem Especialista" program has been operating in Mogi Guaçu since July 13, conducting 2,025 examinations—including 1,010 CT scans and 915 ultrasounds—by August 4. The service has benefited 1,781 patients from Mogi Guaçu, Mogi Mirim, Itapira and Estiva Gerbi, and will remain in the city until August 7.

In Rio Claro, a state‑run CT‑scan truck was deployed on August 4 at the Hospital Municipal Nossa Senhora da Piedade. The vehicle will stay in the municipality through Saturday, offering up to 100 non‑contrast CT examinations per day across multiple body regions. Officials aim to virtually eliminate the local waiting list for these scans, improving diagnostic speed and easing pressure on the public health system.
