Mobile hardware manufacturers are increasingly utilizing chip binning techniques that affect GPU performance without changing product names. MediaTek has released Dimensity 9500 chips where some variants feature eleven GPU cores instead of twelve. Similarly, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series includes a reduced GPU memory capacity, offering one-third less graphics memory compared to the standard Elite model.

In consumer hardware, the Xiaomi 17T has seen significant price reductions in markets like Germany, dropping below €500 from an initial €749.90. While the device offers a high-quality Leica camera setup and a bright OLED screen with eye-protection features, it lacks certain premium specifications such as wireless charging, Wi-Fi 7, and high-speed USB connectivity.
