Mobile hotels offer flexible tourism solutions in Poland
A new mobile hospitality model known as 'sleeptrucks' is emerging in the Polish market to address tourism gaps in local municipalities. Instead of traditional, permanent hotel investments that require significant capital and building permits, companies like Good Spot are utilizing repurposed isothermal trailers to create mobile hotels.
These units are registered as transport vehicles (category O), allowing them to operate without standard construction permits. The concept involves a service-based model where municipalities or event organizers contract an operator to provide logistics, cleaning, and guest registration. This allows the accommodation to arrive for specific events and depart once they conclude, preventing the economic loss seen when tourists leave a location due to a lack of overnight options.
