Mobile mammography units to provide free screenings in Poland

Mobile mammography units are conducting free breast cancer screening programs across several locations in the region. The screenings are designed for women aged 45 to 74 and do not require a medical referral.

In Łaziska Górne, the mammography bus will be stationed at the Municipal Cultural Center on Jana Pawła II Street on August 31. Participants must register in advance via telephone or online and bring identification. The procedure takes approximately five minutes, with results typically available within several business days.

Other scheduled locations for the mobile units include Pilchowice, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Cieszyn, Czechowice-Dziedzice, Wodzisław Śląski, Skoczów, Porąbka, Bieruń, Ornontowice, Pyskowice, Gaszowice, Żory, Bielsko-Biała, Kobiór, Orzesze, Wielowieś, Rybnik, Pszczyna, and Mikołów. Health authorities emphasize that early detection through regular screening significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.
