Mobile market trends show slight price increases and new travel options

The French mobile market is seeing shifts in pricing and consumer options. While prices for mobile plans saw a slight average increase of 8 cents per month in August 2026, this follows a 6.3% decline observed since September 2025. Data from Selectra indicates the average price for available offers is now 13.35 euros per month.

Experts suggest that long-term subscribers may be paying more than new customers, as older contracts are not always the most economical. Consumers are encouraged to compare, negotiate, or switch providers to reduce costs.

In terms of specific offerings, Cdiscount Mobile has introduced a travel-oriented plan for 15.99 euros per month without commitment. This plan utilizes the Bouygues Telecom 5G network and provides 200 GB of data in metropolitan France, along with 35 GB of data usable across 164 different countries. The plan also includes unlimited calls, SMS, and MMS.
