Mobile 'Pamięciownik' Exhibition Launches in Darłowo, Poland

The social‑archiving project "Pamięciownik" will visit the coastal town of Darłowo in 2026. The travelling pavilion invites residents to bring personal photographs and memories, which are scanned and displayed in a community‑curated exhibition. Participants can also write accompanying notes, creating a local archive of family and neighbourhood history.

The initiative, organized by the Centre for Social Archiving, includes thematic walks, workshops and artistic activities aimed at encouraging citizens to preserve and share their visual heritage. Materials collected during the exhibition will be added to existing or new local social archives, strengthening community memory across Poland.
