Patlabor: The Case Files released for PS5 and PC

Good Smile Company has released ‘Patlabor: The Case Files’, a 3D action game developed by Chime Corporation, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Based on the ‘Mobile Police Patlabor’ series, the game allows players to control over 20 different Labors, including the AV-98 Ingram and Type-J9 Griffon.

The title features three primary modes: Main Missions, which follow the Special Vehicles Section 2 (SV2); Another Side Missions, which allow players to experience the story from the perspective of their adversaries; and a Simulator Mode for shooting practice and combat. The game is produced under the supervision of original series staff, including Yutaka Izubuchi and Kazunori Ito.

For the PC release, a 10% discount is available for the first 14 days. A limited edition physical version for PlayStation 5 is also available, which includes a special color version of the MODEROID Griffon model. The game will also be featured at Tokyo Game Show 2026 at the Makuhari Messe.
