Mobile service developments in Czechia and Slovakia
In the Czech Republic, NejPřipojení.cz s. r. o. has introduced a new range of mobile data tariffs designed to provide transparent pricing without the need for long-term contracts or negotiation. The offerings include a 5 GB plan for 395 CZK, a 12 GB plan for 475 CZK, and an unlimited data plan for 496 CZK. The company also provides a tiered discount model for multiple SIM cards under a single account, allowing the cost of unlimited plans to drop to 392 CZK per card when six SIMs are active.
In Slovakia, the mobile operator Orange has launched a marketing campaign titled ‘the best network under the sun’. The company clarified that the slogan is not based on independent quality tests or comparative measurements against competitors, but is instead a play on words referring to the increasing use of solar energy to power its network infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Slovak market continues to see shifts in competition, such as the infrastructure sharing agreement between Telekom and O2.
