OnePlus 16 and Honor Magic9 flagship smartphone leaks revealed

Leaks regarding upcoming flagship smartphones from OnePlus and Honor suggest significant hardware upgrades.

The OnePlus 16 is expected to feature a major camera overhaul, including a 200-megapixel main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch base and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Other rumored specifications include a custom BOE display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate, ultra-narrow bezels, and a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. The device is anticipated to launch in China around October, with an Indian release expected in November.

Separately, the Honor Magic9 series is slated for release on September 28. The lineup is rumored to include three distinct models: one focused on battery life with an integrated cooling fan, a high-end flagship with advanced imaging, and a model emphasizing build quality and stability. The series may feature dual 200-megapixel camera configurations and could be among the first to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform built on a 2nm process. Some engineering models have reportedly tested batteries with capacities around 8000mAh.
