Mobility management training focuses on corporate and urban transport strategies

A training course titled ‘Il Mobility Management in pratica: azioni e iniziative’ is scheduled for September 17. Organized by Euromobility in collaboration with Sapienza University and Scrat, the session aims to explore operational guidelines from the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport regarding Area Mobility Managers and corporate mobility managers.

The program covers the development of successful Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (PSCL), techniques for municipal analysis, and strategies to encourage shared mobility within companies, such as carpooling. The course will also address technological solutions for optimizing collective transport and reducing environmental impacts for businesses, universities, and events.

Related professional distinctions highlight the difference between fleet managers and mobility managers. While a fleet manager focuses on optimizing the use and costs of a company's vehicle fleet, a mobility manager works to reduce private car usage and manage employee commutes. Although one person may fulfill both roles, their objectives often diverge, with the mobility manager role being a legally mandated position in certain contexts.
