mObywatel app provides digital documents and temporary driving licenses

The mObywatel mobile application provides citizens with digital access to various state services and documents, including mDowód, driving licenses, and vehicle data. To activate the account, users must download the app from official stores and confirm their identity, most conveniently through the Profil Zaufany system.

For new drivers, the app offers a temporary electronic driving license that allows for driving immediately after passing a state exam. This digital document is valid for 30 days from the date of the successful exam, covering categories such as AM, A, B, and others. Users must obtain their physical license within this 30-day window to avoid penalties, as driving with an expired digital permit can result in fines starting from 1500 PLN or a court-ordered driving ban.
