mObywatel app reaches 13.5 million users in Poland
The Polish government app mObywatel has surpassed 13.5 million users, with approximately 2 million daily logins. According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the platform has introduced 106 new features over the last 30 months, currently providing access to more than 50 digital documents and 50 public services.
Future updates planned for 2027 include a support portal for election candidates, integration with the European digital identity wallet, and electronic vehicle registration. Current popular uses of the app include registering births, starting businesses, signing documents, and communicating with state administration.
In the private sector, the fintech company Twisto has integrated mObywatel into its registration process. As of October 2026, Twisto users can verify their identity through the government app, eliminating the need for selfies or photos of physical identity documents.
