Moca FC unveils reinforced squad for 2026 LDF season

Moca Fútbol Club has unveiled a reinforced squad for the 2026 season of the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol (LDF). The team aims to increase competitiveness for both the Apertura and Clausura tournaments, with the new campaign scheduled to begin on Friday, August 21, at the Moca 85 stadium.

The roster features a mix of international experience and young talent. Key additions include goalkeeper Alessandro Baroni, who previously played for Boavista in Portugal, and midfielder Gerard Lavergne, who has experience with FC Tucson in the United States and York United in Canada.

Other notable signings include offensive midfielder Jason Yambatis, striker José Jáquez Jr., midfielder José Ramón Alceney, and defender Wilsander Pérez Sierra. Venezuelan head coach Jean Carlos Güell noted that the board's support has allowed the club to build a squad with greater depth and tactical alternatives.
