Mochima National Park to ban pets and sound equipment

Starting in December, pets and sound equipment will be prohibited on the beaches of Mochima National Park in Sucre, Venezuela. The measure, issued by the National Institute of Parks (Inparques), aims to protect the local ecosystem and ensure tranquility for visitors during the high season.

Gloris Muñoz, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Mochima, stated that an information campaign is underway to notify tourists, including those traveling from other states, before the regulations take effect.

The restrictions align with existing park regulations. Specifically, the park's management plan prohibits sound equipment exceeding 50 decibels measured at two meters and restricts musical events involving more than 300 people. Additionally, regulations prohibit the disturbance of wildlife and damage to flora.
