Conagua incorporates Ojinaga irrigation district into national technification program

The National Water Commission (Conagua) has incorporated the Irrigation District 090 Bajo Río Conchos, based in Ojinaga, into the National Irrigation Technification Program. This initiative aims to modernize hydraulic infrastructure to benefit approximately 600 agricultural producers in the Chihuahua region.

The project involves a total investment of 999 million pesos, with 60 million pesos being contributed by the State Government. Key actions include the rehabilitation of canals and gates, the piping of strategic sections, and the integration of new technology to improve water conduction and distribution to farms. These improvements are designed to reduce water loss through filtration and enhance overall resource efficiency.
