Mocoretá police fine livestock consignee $8 million over cattle transport irregularities

In Mocoretá, Argentina, the Rural Police conducted an operation that resulted in a fine of $8,105,175 for a livestock consignee. The sanction followed the interception of a truck transporting 102 cattle that had not undergone the required police controls at the point of origin.

During an exhaustive individual inspection in Curuzú Cuatiá, authorities discovered further irregularities, including incorrectly declared master guides and cattle marks that did not match the provided documentation. As a result, the livestock was preventively seized, and the transport documentation was annulled, requiring rectification before the animals could be moved.
