Mocorito mayor announces payroll cuts as water service relies on single truck

He noted inherited debt, delayed salary payments and even electricity cuts, and said meetings with the treasurer and chief of staff will determine the scale and timing of any layoffs.
At the same time, the Junta Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Mocorito (JMAPAM) is distributing water to the municipality with only one water‑truck after recent rains damaged the regular supply system.
