MoDeL demands information on Aliou Bah's transfer

The Mouvement démocratique libéral (MoDeL) is demanding information from Guinean authorities regarding the whereabouts and condition of its president, Aliou Bah. According to a party statement released on October 9, 2026, Bah was transferred from the Coyah civil prison during the night of October 6 to 7.

MoDeL reports that three days have passed without official communication regarding Bah’s new location, the legal grounds for his transfer, or his current detention conditions. The party emphasized that detention should not justify opacity or the withholding of essential information from legal counsel and family members.

The political movement has called on authorities to confirm that Bah’s physical integrity is being preserved and that his fundamental rights are respected. While pursuing legal steps to obtain answers, MoDeL has urged its supporters and citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and responsible.
