Modena and Emilia-Romagna Region launch urban security program

The Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Modena have approved a program agreement to enhance urban security and livability through an integrated prevention project. The initiative involves a total investment of 960,000 euros, with 588,000 euros provided by the Region and 372,000 euros by the Municipality.

The project focuses on a key area of Modena spanning from the bus station to Novi Sad Park, including Montekosica, Fabriani, Bacchini, and Molza streets. Key measures include the redevelopment of an integrated outpost for the Local Police and the State Police, alongside structural, technological, and social interventions.

Social components of the plan include strengthening street education, mediation services, and the use of Street Tutors and School Tutors. Additionally, the program aims to increase anti-bullying controls and involve local associations in prevention activities to address marginalization and urban decay.
