Modena and Parma regions receive new donated medical equipment
A new ambulance equipped for advanced emergency care was donated to the Servizio di emergenza territoriale SET‑118 in Modena by the precision‑mechanics company VECA of Soliera and the volunteer group Beppe Loschi nel cuore. The vehicle joins the provincial fleet, raising the level of response capability. Director‑General of AUSL Mattia Altini said the donation “represents much more than the delivery of a new vehicle – it is a tangible sign of trust and commitment to public health.”
In the nearby province of Parma, the hospital of Borgotaro received two state‑of‑the‑art surgical instruments – a urology laser and an arthroscopic column – funded by the local charity Insieme per Vivere. Valued at over €140,000, the devices were praised by Anselmo Campagna, director‑general of the regional health authority, as enabling “the highest quality of care” for patients.
Both contributions illustrate ongoing collaboration between Italian health services, local businesses and volunteer associations to strengthen regional medical infrastructure.
