Modena balsamic vinegar consortia celebrate Italian culinary heritage

The Consorzio di Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena is participating in the first edition of Trivial Pursuit Cucina Italiana, a board game dedicated to Italian gastronomic culture. Curated by the Accademia Gualtiero Marchesi, the project aims to promote Italian culinary heritage following its recognition by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. The game features 800 questions across six categories, including a section on raw materials that covers biodiversity and DOP/IGP products.

In a separate celebration of regional heritage, the Consorteria dell'Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena is marking its 60th anniversary through two creative projects: a book titled ‘Solchi di balsamico’ and a short film titled ‘La tradizione è viva’. These works, directed by Carlo Guttadauro, document the history of the association, the families involved in production, and the transmission of knowledge across generations in Spilamberto and the wider Modena area.
