Modena municipality organizes seaside excursions for elderly residents

The Municipality of Modena is continuing its “Un de’ al mer” project, which organizes seaside excursions for elderly residents. From September 14 to September 17, approximately 200 people, including elderly guests from residential care homes, day centers, and elderly spaces, will visit the holiday home in Pinarella di Cervia.

This initiative aims to promote socialization, combat isolation, and support active aging. The Pinarella holiday home has been a destination for Modenese residents aged 60 and over for nearly 40 years. The project is supported by various local associations, including elderly committees and disability advocacy groups. Other community services for seniors resuming this autumn include opera rehearsals at the Pavarotti-Freni Municipal Theater and guided tours of the Luciano Pavarotti Museum.
