Modena residents can apply for textbook subsidies

The Emilia-Romagna region has opened applications for subsidies to assist students with the purchase of textbooks and digital educational materials for the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative aims to support the right to education for students facing economic difficulties.

Residents of Modena attending lower or upper secondary schools, including state, private, and adult education centers (Cpia), are eligible. The program also covers students completing compulsory education through homeschooling during the first two years of high school.

Eligibility is based on an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) value. For the first bracket (ISEE between 0 and 10,632.94 euros), the contribution is set at 632.94 euros. For the second bracket (ISEE between 10,632.95 and 15,748.78 euros), the amount is adjusted accordingly. Beneficiaries must generally be under 24 years old, though this limit does not apply to students with certified disabilities.

Applications must be submitted online via the regional platform using Spid, Cie, or Cns credentials. The final benefit amounts will be determined by the regional government based on the total number of eligible students and available resources.
