Modern Calor S.A. announces thermal energy supply interruption

Modern Calor S.A. has announced a temporary interruption in the supply of thermal energy, which will affect the availability of hot water. The suspension is scheduled to take place between September 14 and September 18, 2026.

The interruption was requested by the general contractor, Energo AG SRL Bascov, to facilitate connection works to the heating and natural gas networks. These works are part of the final stage of a project to expand high-efficiency cogeneration capacity for producing electricity and thermal energy at the Modern Calor S.A. facility in Botoșani. The project is funded through the Heating Program with a total value of 60,310,132.27 lei, including VAT.

Thermal energy supply will be restored gradually following the completion of the network works. Modern Calor S.A. advised consumers to check their internal installations for leaks or malfunctions once service resumes.
