Modern heating technologies enhance energy efficiency in Czech homes

Modern technological advancements are enabling more efficient heating solutions in energy-saving and passive homes. In passive houses, modern chimney systems are designed as closed appliances. These systems use a dual-circuit design where an inner liner exhausts flue gases while the outer part supplies combustion air, ensuring that the indoor air pressure and thermal comfort remain unaffected.

In residential developments, such as a recent apartment building in Brno-Černovice, heat pumps are increasingly utilized to minimize operating costs. The project in Brno-Černovice employs an ENBRA EDGE PRO L 12.1 monoblock heat pump combined with underfloor heating. This setup includes an accumulation tank with an electric heating rod for bivalent support and central hot water storage with integrated Legionella protection through periodic overheating.
