Modestino Di Nenna wins Best Cinematography at Bergamo Film Festival

The short film ‘Il Miracolo di Montevergine’, directed by Modestino Di Nenna and produced by the Municipality of Mercogliano, won the Best Cinematography award at the International Festival of New Cinema. The festival took place from September 23 to 25 at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo.

The film focuses on social inclusion, featuring a cast of actors with disabilities, including Elvira Taccone, Leonardo Piscitelli, Antonio Evangelista, and Angelo Acernese, alongside actor Antonio Fiorillo. The project aims to use cinema as a tool to value diversity and transform disability into an opportunity for artistic expression and participation.

In addition to its social message, the production serves as a promotion of the Irpinia region, utilizing local landmarks such as Capocastello, the Funicolare, and Montevergine as filming locations.
