Modica teen killed in scooter collision
A 16-year-old student, Stefano Gradante, died following a road accident in the Mauto district on the Modica-Giarratana road. Gradante was riding a scooter when he collided with a car driven by a 27-year-old, who was hospitalized with injuries.
Emergency responders attempted to save the teenager via helicopter transport to the Cannizzaro Hospital Trauma Center in Catania, but he succumbed to his injuries.
