Italy hosts various film premieres and cultural documentaries
A series of cinematic and cultural events are scheduled across Italy, highlighting diverse themes from dance history to psychological thrillers.
In Reggio Emilia, the documentary ‘Antidiva’ will premiere on October 14, chronicling the life of dancer Liliana Cosi and her career spanning the Iron Curtain. Additionally, the production ‘Posso solo credere ad una dea che danza’ will debut on October 15, exploring the 20th-century revolution in dance through the lens of figures like Isadora Duncan and Martha Graham.
In the Marche region, the film ‘Quello che resta di noi’, directed by Simone Riccioni and Emilio Mercanti, is set for a national release on October 29 following previews in Porto Sant’Elpidio and Fermo. The story follows seven youths exploring an abandoned villa in search of treasure.
Other notable screenings include the documentary ‘Il caso Modigliani’ at the MAXXI in Rome on October 23, which investigates the 1984 discovery of forged sculptures attributed to Amedeo Modigliani. In Cosenza, actress Romana Maggiora Vergano will meet audiences to present the psychological thriller ‘L’Estranea’. Finally, the film ‘Cercando Itaca’ was featured at the Teatro Marconi in Rome as part of the Coliseum International Film Festival.
