Modra Wine Harvest festival to trigger traffic and transport changes

The Modra Wine Harvest festival, scheduled from September 4 to 6, 2026, will result in significant traffic and parking restrictions in the center of Modra. To accommodate the event, which features over 30 musical performers and local wine tastings, several streets including Dukelská, Kukučínova, Moyzesova, and Na starom trhu will be closed from midday on September 3 until 6:00 AM on September 7.

ARRIVA Mobility Solutions, in cooperation with the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, is increasing public transport services to discourage car use. On Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5, additional evening and night connections will be provided toward Bratislava, Pezinok, and Šenkvice. Specifically, lines 540 and 550 will operate at 15-minute intervals during peak hours on the Pezinok railway station to Modra route.

Due to the closures, several bus stops, including Modra, Štefánikova and Modra, Dukelská, will be suspended, with service redirected to alternative stops at Štúrova, Dolná, and Šúrska. Visitors are advised to use public transport to avoid parking shortages and road closures in the town center.
