Modrijani hold massive two-night musical spectacle in Ljubljana

The musical group Modrijani held a massive two-night spectacle titled ‘Noč Modrijanov’ at the Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, drawing over 20,000 attendees. The event, which took two years to prepare, featured approximately 1,000 performers including orchestras, singers, and dancers across 99 program points.

This year’s event included a special tribute to Petar Švab, a long-time volunteer who has supported the group for 26 years and approximately 5,200 performances. The production utilized advanced technical elements, such as custom-made moving stages and specialized lighting. The event also highlighted multi-generational family connections, featuring performances by the children of group members.

Organizer Blaž Švab emphasized that the project was a collective effort involving numerous technical teams and business partners who dedicated themselves to the production. The spectacle served as both a celebration of Slovenian folk music and a showcase for domestic musical production.
