Modrijani musical spectacle at Stožice yields no profit

The Modrijani musical group recently held ‘Noč Modrijanov’ at the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, a massive two-night production featuring approximately 1,000 performers, including musicians, singers, and dancers. The event was described as one of the most demanding and largest musical spectacles in the country’s history, with a production value exceeding 1.3 million euros.

Despite the scale and the attendance of over 20,000 people, frontman Blaž Švab revealed that the group earned no profit from the event. He explained that the high costs of organization and the desire to ensure all staff and collaborators were paid appropriately resulted in zero remaining funds. To manage costs, the massive 50x20 meter honeycomb-shaped stage was dismantled and scrapped after the event rather than being stored.

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar attended the event, praising the production as a unique celebration of Slovenian music. She specifically highlighted the charitable aspects of the show, noting the inclusion of oncology patients and children from the Zlata pentljica organization.
