Modus and Gastronomia Yamamoto announce culinary fusion collaboration

Modus and Gastronomia Yamamoto have announced a culinary collaboration that merges the traditional flavors of Cilento with Japanese home-style cooking. The partnership, led by Paolo De Simone and Aya Yamamoto, aims to highlight the shared connection between regional Italian agricultural culture and authentic Japanese culinary traditions.

The collaboration features specialized creations, including the ‘Yatai Pizza’, which adapts the Campanian street food ‘pizza fritta’ by incorporating Japanese elements like teriyaki chicken alongside local ingredients such as friarielli and cacioricotta. Another creation, ‘Chashu e Provola’, combines Japanese braised pork belly with Italian provola cheese. A special event scheduled for October will further showcase these gastronomic explorations.
