Moenia draws record crowds at Cantoya Fest in Pátzcuaro

The tenth anniversary of the Cantoya Fest 2026 was celebrated in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, with a headline concert by Mexican synth‑pop band Moenia. The performance filled the historic Plaza Vasco de Quiroga, creating a full house that organizers called historic.

Municipal president Julio Arreola said the massive attendance demonstrated the festival’s growth and its importance for the town’s tourism. Tourism secretary Roberto Monroy García added that the event highlighted Pátzcuaro’s cultural, gastronomic and artisanal attractions, while international glider artists from Brazil, France, Italy, Colombia and El Salvador added color to the skies.

The festival’s success generated a significant economic boost for local hotels, restaurants and merchants, and the program concluded with additional musical acts and balloon displays.
