Moeve hosts Demo Day for first startup accelerator edition

Ten startups presented the results of pilot projects developed alongside the energy company Moeve during the Demo Day of its first startup accelerator edition in Madrid. The projects, which involved nearly a year of collaborative work, focus on various aspects of the energy transition.

Key technologies showcased include artificial intelligence for legal management, carbon emission reporting, electricity market analysis, and methods for producing lipids for biofuels. Other innovations covered green ammonia production, algae for sustainable chemicals, smart farming, renewable energy in agricultural settings, industrial wastewater treatment, and sustainable fuel management.

Moeve will evaluate which solutions have the highest potential for implementation within its business areas and which require further technological maturation. CEO Maarten Wetselaar stated that innovation is central to the company’s ‘Positive Motion’ strategy, emphasizing that collaborating with startups allows the firm to transform its activities and better meet customer needs during the energy transition.
