Moeve reorganizes management structure ahead of Galp merger

Moeve, formerly Cepsa, has announced a major reorganization of its management structure to accelerate its ‘Positive Motion’ strategy and the development of green molecule projects. The restructuring aims to increase decision-making agility and optimize the value chain ahead of its planned merger with Galp, expected by mid-year.

CEO Marteen Wetselaar is reducing the management committee from ten members to eight. The new structure introduces two primary areas: ‘Operations’ and ‘Commercial’. The Operations division, tasked with managing industrial assets and new projects, will be led by Robin Mooldijk, who joins from Shell on October 1. The Commercial division, focusing on B2B client relations, innovation, and business strategy, will be headed by José María Solana, the former CEO of the chemical division.

Other key leadership roles include Alice Acuña, who will lead ‘Trading and Optimization’ to manage energy and chemical product supply and logistics, and Pierre-Yves Sachet, who continues to lead the ‘Mobility’ division. This reorganization marks a transition from establishing a sustainable foundation to a phase focused on industrial execution and customer leadership.
