Mogi das Cruzes enhances security with Smart Mogi and 24-hour women's police station

Mogi das Cruzes has reached significant milestones in public security and women's protection. The Smart Mogi surveillance program has completed its first year of operation, resulting in the arrest of 181 individuals wanted by the justice system. The program utilizes 730 cameras, including 260 equipped with facial recognition and license plate readers, integrated with the state's Muralha Paulista database.

Additionally, the city has officially implemented 24-hour service at the Women's Defense Police Station (Delegacia de Defesa da Mulher). This expansion, achieved through a partnership between the municipal government and the State Government of São Paulo, ensures that victims of violence can access specialized assistance at any time. The transition to continuous service began in late August to strengthen the local protection network.
